Äkäslompolo (1 hour from Kittila):
A little village near by the Ylläs fells, situated about 150 km from the Arctic Circle to the north. Built around the Äkäslompolo lake it is home to approximately 400 people. Close by is Ylläs and the ski Centre.

Karesuando
Karesuando, in the north eastern part of Swedish Lapland, is the northernmost parish in Sweden - close to the Finnish village with almost the same name (Karesuvanto).

Levi (20 minutes from Kittila):
Finland's favourite winter resort, offering a wide range of facilities and diversions within a compact resort area.

Ounasvaara (20 minutes from Rovaniemi):
The view from the top of Ounasvaara fell is quite magnificent: you can see the town spread out below and the Kemi river valley beyond with Santa Park in the distance. Nature really is right on your doorstep

Rovaniemi (20 minutes from Rovaniemi):
Not all of Lapland is beautiful, remote resorts which abound with snowfilled countryside. There are a few areas which can be quite busy and the capital of Finnish Lapland, Rovaniemi, is one such place. This can appeal to some clients, however, you should be aware of this when booking. Itinerares which are based in Rovaniemi also has some accommodation in the much quieter Ounasvaara area.

Saariselkä (25 minutes from Ivalo):

Ylläsjarvi (45 minutes from Kittila):
